As the Women in Technology Association, we continue to meet with our members in the new year. We kicked off this year’s member meetings with a warm breakfast on January 8, 2024.
Our Founding President, Zehra Öney, shared the latest updates on the association’s ongoing projects and emphasized the strong member relations within our association in her opening speech at the member meeting:
“We are part of a vast network of kindness. We work wholeheartedly in everything we do. Once again, I thank each and every one of you for your warm communication, for embracing us, and for being genuine pillars of this association.
I have a request from all of you for this year. This year, let’s work on a project together. We are an active and action-oriented organization. Our projects have grown in recent times, gaining more recognition, and consequently increasing the expectations from the Woman in Technology Association nationwide. Allocate a project from your companies to us, be the leader of this project. Keep knocking on our door. I want to see your entrepreneurial spirits in this association.”
Next, our Vice President of the Board, Hayriye Karadeniz, spoke about the technological transformation the world and Türkiye has been experiencing, and the necessary steps the association should take to accelerate technological advancement in Türkiye
“For the impactful transformation of our society, we need to reach out even further with the heartfelt work we do. We all talk about artificial intelligence these days. We need to discuss how we will embrace all these new technologies, and how we will be a part of it as a nation. Artificial intelligence is also eliminating many professions and sectors. Staying on the consumer side is risky; shifting to the producer side is only possible through efforts like ours.
As much as we work sincerely as an association, as companies, we can only create a small part of the mission considering the change we want to make. To make a bigger move, we need to come together with more people, more organizations, and the public sector.”
Throughout the member breakfast, our corporate members shared their stories of getting to know the association and discussed the projects we have implemented together.
As the Woman in Technology Association, we will continue our member meetings this year with our motto “Together, We are Stronger!” to become even stronger, and maintain our sincere relationships.
