We believe that we cannot understand and manage what we cannot measure. With this mindset, we have begun efforts to fill a significant gap in Türkiye regarding index studies, and wanted to approach technology and human relations from a holistic view to emphasize the value of research and measurement. In collaboration with IPSOS, one of the world’s largest research companies, we initiated a preliminary study to understand Türkiye’s technological dynamics. As a result, we conducted a pioneering measurement study on Türkiye’s technology and human index, including a gender breakdown.
To achieve these objectives, we worked closely with Bahçeşehir University, one of our supporters, for six months to strategize and carry out the project. With the valuable contributions from our supporters, we completed both desk research and fieldwork for the first phase of the project.
Focusing on individuals above a certain age group, we indexed their relationship with technology, the gender breakdown of individuals working in technology, whether STEM graduates continue to work in technology, and their satisfaction levels. This allowed us to create a unique study based on our own data, rather than relying on foreign sources.
This research, carried out with contributions from many of our corporate members, became Türkiye’s first “Technology and Human Index.”
The first phase of our project was completed in 2022.
