On Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Mediterranean Informatics Summit (Akdeniz Bilişim Zirvesi) held in Antalya, our former Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank; the Rector of Akdeniz University, Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan; the Head Organizer of the Mediterranean Informatics Summit and Founder of Piksel Academy, Emrah Kozan; and the General Manager of Antalya Teknokent, Dr. İbrahim Yavuz, took the stage with their opening speeches
During the event in Antalya, our Founding President, Zehra Öney, spoke about the change in the world, technologies transforming it, the artificial intelligence revolution, and the path we need to follow to be successful in this evolving world in her speech titled “The Road from Artificial Intelligence to Web3.” Öney discussed the steps we need to take to be successful during the transformation we are experiencing due to the developments in technology, as well as the trends that will shape our lives in the coming period. After her speech, Öney was presented with an appreciation plaque for her participation and contributions.
Furthermore, as the Woman in Technology Association, we had the opportunity to set up a stand during the event and share our current activities with hundreds of students working in the STEM field. Among our highlighted projects were the Binance Woman in Technology Academy and 100 Female Leaders in Technology on the Centennial of the Republic projects, which will start on January 2 and January 15, respectively.
