Since 2019, the Woman in Technology Association has been actively working to increase the number of skilled, competent, and creative women in technology, employment and production processes. Celebrating the new century of the Republic, the association is bringing together young talents with the support of 70 leading companies in Türkiye through the project. To maintain diversity within the program, the association adheres to its 80-20 quota in the program, aiming to train the best 125 students in technology, consisting of 100 women and 25 men.
Training Our Youth Holistically and Bringing Them Together with Türkiye’s Leading Companies for Employment
Under the leadership of Banu Arıduru, Woman in Technology Association Board Member, students interested in participating in the project undergo a series of technical and oral interviews. Those who demonstrate sufficient analytical, verbal, and technical knowledge are accepted into the program. Participants, in addition to receiving technical and soft skill training, will engage in interview simulations and receive mentorship thanks to the supporters of the program, which are leading companies in Türkiye. Through the mentorship program, participants will explore their potential with industry leaders while learning about the company culture they are mentored by.
We are Training our Youth to Create a Smart Technology Society in Türkiye
Aligned with the vision of creating a smart technology society in Türkiye, the technical training provided by the Woman in Technology Association aims to increase the number of competent professionals in the sector. By doing so, the association supports the Sustainable Development Goal of ‘Gender Equality’ (SDG 5) while contributing to Türkiye’s social, economic development, and welfare. The project is intended to continue regularly in the upcoming years.
