TürkTraktör has initiated the “Miracles of Sprouts: Technology and Innovation Perspectives Training” project in March 2022 to promote gender equality in the field of technology and innovation, aiming to provide education to 4,000 female students within a year. Following our physical and online training sessions held in Gaziantep, Adana, and Van, we provided perspectives training to 406 students as part of our summer camp, with 79% of them being female.
From July 10th to August 24th, the participating students received training on important topics in technology, including E-commerce, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, Industry 4.0, IoT, Big Data, Gamification, Cloud Computing, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0, NFT, Blockchain, E-wallet, and Cybersecurity. Consequently, they have increased their technological literacy and received mentorship support for one week following the training sessions, enhancing their skills in technology.
Our graduation ceremony commenced with opening speeches by Ms. Ceren Ertem Çimen, the People, Culture and Transformation Leader at TürkTraktör, and Ms. Zehra Öney, the Founding President of the Woman in Technology Association. Following the opening remarks, Ms. Işıl Hasdemir, the Board Member and Treasurer of the Woman in Technology Association and Ms. Pınar Işık Yılmaz, the Product Leader for Industrial Relations and Employee Operations at TürkTraktör, who were both mentors during our summer camp, shared their thoughts and feelings about the program.
After addressing questions from the graduating students, we conducted a draw, and 50 of our students received free English language training through the WEXT platform to contribute to their personal and professional development.
Our graduation program concluded with speeches by Ms. Zeynep Gamze Erdem, the Product Leader for Learning and Talent Management at TürkTraktör, and Ms. Aylin Karabulut, the Education Director at the Woman in Technology Association.
